**FRIDAY FIX!!!** HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!! I cannot believe it is August 25 already. Why does summer always fly by?! I'm on staff at a school so I work during the summer, but next Monday all of the teachers come back from their summer break and the school year gets ready to begin! In the spirit of this, today's Friday Fix is focused on clothes and desk accessories to get you ready for fall at work. Enjoy and happy online shopping! xoxo ![]() Cord Button-Front Skirt from Gap When fall weather hits, I am a big fan of skirts with booties for work, and I love this corduroy option! I think the dark navy color would look awesome with a black or grey sweater, and will easily transition with tights for winter (not the W word!! Ugh). It's an easy piece that will pair with lots of different tops. Available at Gap, $49.95 (currently 40% off with code FRIDAY) ![]() Ideas & Such Layflat Notebook from Denik I take a lot of notes in the "reporting" slash writing role of my job, so I always have a stash of small, softcover notebooks on hand to carry with me around the school, and they always have colorful, pretty covers. The students love my notebooks! ;) This tie-dye, sunset inspired notebook is a great way to keep a little piece of summer with you at work this fall. And I love this brand because a portion of their proceeds go towards building schools and supporting the artists who create the cover artwork. Available at Denik.com, $11.95 ![]() Cup of Calm tea by Traditional Medicinals When things get crazy at work, I try to remember to take a little break during the afternoon to slow my thoughts and relax my mind. My favorite way to do this is to make a cup of this tea at my desk. I've tried so many different teas but this is the one that calms me the most. It's organic, smells delicious and I love that each tea bag has a quote on it. It's a nice little break during the day. Sometimes I drink it right before my long commute home too! Available at Amazon.com, $6.65 for a box of 16 ![]() Ello Campy 16oz Stainless Steel Insulated Travel Mug Nothing is worse than actually getting up early to make yourself a to-go coffee and then having it leak on the way to work all over your clothes. I've had such a hard time finding a cute travel mug that actually seals properly and isn't crazy expensive. When I spotted this guy at Target and saw that it was guaranteed leak-proof, I had to give it a try. And it works!! When I use this mug I never have to worry about coffee spills on my commute, and it keeps the coffee hot (or cold, if you're an iced coffee girl like me!) even during my over an hour commute. This mug is a winner and I love that it looks like an actual mug! Available at Target, $17.99 ![]() Madewell Courier Side-Button Shirt I saw this shirt during a recent visit to the Madewell store in Soho and I LOVED it, but I held off on buying it because of the price. Luckily for me, I caught a sale last week and was able to snag it for a bargain! I'm glad I did because this shirt is the best. I love that it has fun buttons on the sides. You can keep them buttoned for work or unbutton one or two for the weekend. I think it will look cute left open over a white tee or tied up at the waist for weekend and I can wear it buttoned normally with a pair of chinos for work! Available at Madewell, $69.50
