Now that it's official, I'll wish you all a Happy Fall! Temperatures are starting to drop in NYC already so I'm slowly transitioning my closet over to my cold weather wardrobe. Fall dressing can be tricky because it can go from warm to cool pretty quickly and randomly, so it's all about the layers and versatile pieces these next two months. For this reason, I'm sharing with you a little now and later outfit that can be worn now (when it's still on the warmer side) and later (when it starts to get chilly). The best part is that it's super affordable, so you can save money for those booties and sweaters you've been eyeing. Happy layering season! XOXO NOW: This outfit is perfect for the weather right now. It looks fall-ish and cute, but you won't be too hot. I wore this exact outfit to work on casual Friday last week and got so many compliments! The Universal Thread Floral Wrap Top pairs perfectly with a pair of high-waisted jeans (so flattering), and some slip-on suede mules are perfect to wear when it's no longer sandal weather but too hot for booties. A brown leather satchel ties the whole look together. LATER: To make the same outfit work when the temperatures drop, just add a field jacket (I chose a rust color that complements the shirt - it's from a few years ago, but I found a similar option available now) and throw on a hat. I'm wearing a felt hat my dad gave me for Christmas a few years back, but a beanie would look super cute too! You could also switch up your shoes for boots or sneakers if you need a bit more coverage. A perfect fall outfit for a great price! Check out the links below to shop the pieces.
