**FRIDAY FIX!!** Happy Friday, everyone! It's officially fall - although it's been in the high 80's here all week. I'm trying to soak up the last of these sunny, warm days while I can. Last weekend I stopped into one of my all time favorite shops, Paper Source, to grab something for a friend's upcoming birthday. Check out my favorite things I saw there below! Happy weekend and happy online shopping! xoxo ![]() Confetti Clear Pouch I've always admired this pouch online, but it was even cuter in person! It is so colorful and fun! It would be the perfect little makeup bag or pencil pouch. Because how can you have a bad day when you're surrounded by rainbow glitter?! Available at Papersource.com, $22.95 ![]() Gold Cactus on Sea Green Stationery I love anything with a good cactus print on it and these cards are no exception. The best part about these is that they are eco-friendly and sustainably handmade. Available at Papersource.com, $14.95 ![]() Navy Floral Heat Pillow I have something just like this that my Grandma made for me and it is a life saver. You just pop it in the microwave to heat it up and then use it like a heating pad wherever you need it. I use mine all the time for period cramps or a stiff neck after a long week of cubicle sitting. This one is so cute! Available at Papersource.com, $35.95 ![]() Meri Meri Mini Stickers It is extremely hard for me to pass up cute stickers. Don't ask me why. I have a little collection going on in the basket on my crafting table. I just love having fun stickers to put all over envelopes and cards when I mail them to people! It makes me happy! I definitely bought this fun roll when I was in Papersource last weekend - oops! Available at Papersource.com, $9.95 ![]() Rose Gold Crossbody Purse I highly doubt anyone goes into Papersource looking for purses, but how chic is this little cross body?! It almost looks like something you could find in a vintage shop. I love the subtle colors and the gold chain strap. This is the perfect size for weekends, a wedding or a night out. Available at Papersource.com, $39.95 ![]() Sugarfina Champagne Bears These gummy bears come in the cutest little package and are infused with Dom Perignon Champagne in Brut and Rosé flavors. They are the cutest little celebratory gift for a birthday or even a cute party favor! Plus - the little plastic box is super sturdy and can be reused for storage or crafting!! Available at Papersource.com, $9.95

When it comes to makeup, I'm all about quick, simple and natural. I start with a healthy base by taking care of my skin each morning and night. Then, I use products that highlight and accentuate my natural features - I love wearing makeup but I like my routine to be simple! I also love my makeup to give me a glowy look so I use a lot of products that have subtle shimmer and highlight. I periodically try out new products, but I tend to mostly stick with what I've found that works for me. Check out what's in my makeup bag below! ![]() PRIMER - Becca Backlight Priming Filter After applying my daily moisturizer, I prime my face for makeup with this priming lotion from Becca. It's lightweight and sheer and gives my skin a little extra glow - which is great for work days when my skin looks tired and dull. With or without anything over it, I like the way this primer makes my skin feel. It's not at all greasy yet makes my face feel moisturized. And it's free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates, all of which I try to avoid. Available at Sephora, $38 ![]() BB CREAM - Ulta BB Cream Beauty Balm in Illuminating I never wear foundation because luckily my skin is pretty even on its own and I don't like how heavy it feels on my face. When I do need a little extra coverage I use BB cream. This illuminating balm from Ulta is great! It has a subtle pearlescent effect to it which really brightens up my face, it goes on easily and it has SPF 20 to protect from the sun. Available at Ulta Beauty, $14 ![]() CONCEALER - Ulta Color Correcting Foundation & Primer Stick After I apply my BB cream, I use this foundation stick as a concealer wherever I need a little extra coverage. I rub some under my eyes and nose to cover up any dark circles or redness, and I blend over any blemishes. I have tried lots of concealers but I always come back to this one! It goes on so smooth and it's really easy to build coverage as you need it. The center of the stick is green, which helps to cancel out any redness. Available at Ulta, $14 ![]() BLUSH, BRONZER AND HIGHLIGHT - Becca x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette At first I was hesitant to buy this palette because I wasn't sure that it would work on my fair skin. But I LOVE Chrissy Teigen so I decided to give it a try. I ended up loving it! The colors look super bright but they are all very buildable. I apply a light layer for day and add a little more color for night. The color lasts all day! I love the two highlighters - I brush them on my cheekbones after applying my blush and they really brighten up my face. Available at Ulta, $46 ![]() POWDER - Bareminerals bareSkin Perfecting Veil This powder is great for setting my makeup, controlling excess oil, and blurring any imperfections. I use just a little bit on the t-zone because I like my skin to have a little shine/dewiness. Available at Ulta, $27 ![]() HIGHLIGHTER - Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured I love this highlighter! It's in a nice cream which makes it super easy to blend. After applying my finishing powder, I dab some down the bridge of my nose and under my brows for a soft, shimmery, highlighted effect. Available at Ulta, $38 ![]() EYE CRAYON - Ulta Cream Eyeshadow & Liner Can you tell I love to highlight?! I use this eyeshadow crayon in the light "Naked Truth" shade to highlight the corners of my eyes - it really makes me look more awake and makes my eyes look bigger. Plus it's paraben free and waterproof! Available at Ulta, $8.50 ![]() EYE SHADOW PRIMER - Ulta Tinted Eye Primer I don't use eye primer on a daily basis, but it's great for special occasions or long days when I'm wearing darker colored eyeshadows and don't want them to smudge or crease. I love this primer because it has a gorgeous, subtle tint and shimmer to it - and by now you know I love my shimmer! I just love my makeup to have an ethereal look to it! My favorite shade is "Satin Taupe" but it comes in a few different colors. This primer is also paraben free! Available at Ulta, $12 ![]() EYESHADOW - Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette I love a good eyeshadow palette, and this one from Urban Decay has served me well. I use the lighter, golden shades for work and daytime, and I layer on some of the darker shades for special events and nights out. Some of the darker shades work well as eyeliners too! They last for a long time without creasing. This palette won an Allure Best of Beauty award and it's currently on sale at Sephora!! Available at Sephora, $27 SALE ![]() EYELINER - Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil I have been using this eye pencil in the shade "Zero" for yearssss because it is SO GOOD. It goes on easily so I don't have to tug on my eye and then you have about 20 seconds of blending time before it sets and stays put. I am very loyal to this eyeliner. Available at Sephora, $20 ![]() MASCARA - Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to Die For The Mascara My mom gave me this mascara for Christmas last year and I've been hooked ever since. It works really well! It doesn't flake off during the day but it comes off easily with my makeup removing cloths at night. Even when I'm hot and sweaty this stuff still stays put! Available at Ulta, $22 ![]() LIP COLOR - Ulta Matte Lip Crayon I have been using Ulta's lip crayons for years and I love them! They are super easy to put on and come in a ton of fun shades. They also don't dry out my lips or flake off like some lipsticks do. I always have a ton of these in my purse so that I can choose between colors each day. Available at Ulta, $8 ![]() SETTING SPRAY/SKIN REFRESHER - Makeup by Sarah Lord Rose Water Once I finish my makeup, I gently spritz my face with this delicious-smelling rose water. It helps my makeup to set and gives my skin a little glow. It's also great to spritz on throughout the day to refresh your skin! I love knowing where products come from, and this rose water just happens to be handmade by my friend @makeupbysarah.lord. Check her out - she is amazing! Available from Makeup by Sarah Lord, $25 **FRIDAY FIX!!** Happy Friday, friends! Woah, this week felt long and I caught a cold - yippee. Things at work are definitely picking up after the summertime lull and it's hard to get back into the rhythm and routine. Most nights after work, I'm exhausted and so eager to run home and relax in our little apartment. In that spirit, this week I'm sharing my favorite home decor finds for fall. Enjoy and happy online shopping! : ) ![]() Spiced Cake Reed Diffuser I keep this diffuser on the shelf near our front door and it smells sooo delicious. It's such a warm, inviting scent to breathe in right when you step into the apartment. Even Adam loves it! I love the cute container too - when the oil runs out, just order a refill and you are good to go! Available at Pier1 Imports, $16.95 ![]() Textured Knit Throw For fall and winter, I love the look of sweater knit blankets. They look adorable thrown on a couch or folded at the end of the bed and are perfect for cuddling up with. They can be pretty pricey, so I love this one from H&M (Yes, they sell home stuff. It's budget friendly and so cute!). Available at H&M.com, $69.99 ![]() Large Wire Basket This cute wire basket is also from H&M! I think it would look adorable sitting next to a couch or chair with blankets folded inside. It's a stylish way to store things, and could be used for many other purposes, like magazines, books, knitting supplies, etc. So cute! Available from H&M.com, $29.99 ![]() The Poet Oak 10x10 Felt Letter Board I gave Adam this letter board for his birthday and we have had so much fun leaving cute and funny messages on it throughout the year. They come in many different sizes and felt colors too! It adds a cute, quirky touch to your home, and lots of people even use them for back to school photos, weddings, social media announcements, etc. Love these boards! Available from Letterfolk, $65 ![]() Magnolia Home Florist Galvanized Basket This little storage caddy is adorable and could be used for so many different things. I have one sitting on the shelf near our entryway, and it looks cute just as a decoration, but it would also be so cute in a bathroom (for hand towel or toiletry storage, in a living room or office to store magazines and mail, or even on a kitchen counter to hold utensils). I love it! Available at Pier1 Imports, $29.95 ![]() Threshold Wall Grid in Gold If you're read some of my previous posts, you know I am obsessed with cute office/desk accessories. And I love this wall grid! You could mount it on the wall over your desk and hang photos, notes, bills, reminders, anything really. It's gotten tons of great reviews on Target.com. One reviewer actually hung it on her wall and let her plants grow up it. So many uses for this little grid! Available at Target, $9.99 ![]() When fall weather hits, I go into "nesting" mode. I like to fill the apartment with cozy blankets and pillows, bake cookies, and light yummy-scented candles. I recently spent a Saturday morning crafting and made these rustic, deliciously scented candles wrapped in cinnamon sticks. It was so simple - and I love the way they look in the apartment! These would be great holiday gifts, or just a fun project to make for your own home! Check out the simple instructions below! ![]() SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED: -short pillar candles (I used vanilla scented and freshly baked cookie scented) -cinnamon sticks (each candle needs about 20-25 sticks) -natural colored rubber bands -twine -a candle base (I used a small, flat, circular metal tray placed on top of a wedge of birchwood) -a gift tag, stamp and stamp pad (Optional: only if being given as a gift) Instructions:![]() 1) Place a rubber band around the center of the candle. Gently tuck cinnamon sticks under the rubber band, so that they encircle the candle. (I gently pushed the cinnamon sticks together as I went, to get rid of any gaps) ![]() 2) Wrap twine around the center of the cinnamon sticks and the candle, continuing until you can no longer see the rubber band. ![]() 3) Tie twine into a bow to secure. If you are giving the candle as a gift, attach your stamped gift tag now. ![]() 4) Place candle on its base and voila!! : ) Enjoy your cinnamon stick candle. **FRIDAY FIX!!** Happy Friday, everyone!! I don't know about you, but here in Brooklyn it's really starting to feel like fall. It's getting a little too chilly for most of my summer clothes, so my warmer layers are starting to make an appearance. I've really loved a lot of the new fall items at Gap, so I'm sharing some of my favorites with you below. (They also have TONS of sales all the time, so don't pay full price - right now all their women's styles are 40% off with code FORYOU). Enjoy and happy online shopping! : ) ![]() Slouchy Crop Denim Overalls I already have a pair of spring/summer overalls from Gap that I absolutely love! They're so easy to throw on during the weekends, or even on casual days at work. This black pair is the perfect overall for fall! It looks cute over a tank top now or can be worn with a long sleeve tee or a cardigan thrown over it when the weather gets cooler. The slouchy fit is so cool too! I could picture wearing these running errands, out to brunch or at the bar during the daytime. Available from Gap, $79.95 ![]() Marled Stripe Open-Front Cardigan When I find a type of outfit that works for me, I try to stick with it. It makes things less complicated! And for me, a longer length cardigan over a pair of slim fit chinos or a dress/skirt with tights is comfy and flattering for work. I also love to wear these same long cardigans on the weekends with jeans and a tank top (isn't it great when clothing can be worn for work and play?!). I love the tonal grey stripes on this cardigan and it is the perfect length! It's also 100% cotton, which won't make you too hot or itchy. While I tend to steer towards more neutral outfits during fall/winter, they also have this cardigan in a fun, colorful option too! Available at Gap, $79.95 ![]() 1989 Denim Fitted Boyfriend Shirt This is a classic shirt that will never go out of style! I would order a size up from what you normally order for a more oversized fit that will be perfect for layering. I love wearing oversized denim shirts with leggings and boots on the weekends, and for work you can wear it unbuttoned over a dress or skirt like a cardigan. So many ways to wear this guy! Available at Gap, $59.95 ![]() Cozy Textured Fringe Scarf This scarf is made from super-soft modal fabric, and I love the subtle mix of patterns. It's simple and classic, and the black and white coloring will pair well with lots of different tops and jackets. It's the perfect scarf to keep in your bag to throw on when the air gets chilly! Available at Gap, $49.95 ![]() Girlfriend Grommet Chinos I strongly dislike traditional women's work pants. Khakis are just so unflattering and black dress pants are boring, so I tend to wear dresses and skirts instead, just because they are more comfortable and make me feel more put together. But in the fall, in that awkward time when it's too chilly to wear summer dresses but not cold enough for tights, I like to have a few pant options to wear to work. These Gap chinos are my favorite!! They come in lots of fun colors, are the perfect length to pair with ballet flats when rolled at the ankles, and they're actually pretty flattering. I love the grommet details on this pair! Available at Gap, $69.95 ![]() Crop Utility Jacket I love the style of this jacket! You could wear it on weekends as a lightweight jacket option, or even wear it to work as a casual cool blazer. The crop length makes it fun and modern, and the pockets are always handy to have. It's already gotten several great reviews on Gap.com! Available at Gap, $89.95 |
