I was poking through the Dollar Deals bins at Target one night after work (dangerous!) when I spotted the cutest pink hobnail glasses on the shelves and knew I had to use them for something!

With three of them added to my cart, I continued through the bins and came upon the Valentine’s Day section, where I spotted glittery wine glass charms, colorful yarn, and the cutest metallic print tissue paper. I put them all together in my mind and came up with these frilly, pink, festive candy jars.

I tend to think of Valentine's Day as less of a romantic holiday and more as a day to spread love to the many amazing people in my life. I’m leaving these candy jar treats as a special surprise on my coworkers’ desks, hopefully to make their Tuesday a little bit sweeter!

Each candy jar costs about $6 to make, and my favorite part is that after the candy is gone, the wine charm and the hobnail glass can both be reused for other purposes (I kept a glass for myself and use it as a pencil cup on my desk - so cute!). This little project was so simple – it only took about 20 minutes total to put together - and no mess involved!

I’m sure you could do the same with a large coffee mug, votive holder or even a beer glass if you preferred. It would even be an easy project for children to make for their teachers or babysitters.

If you feel inspired and decide to create your own candy jar gift, I would love to see! Happy Valentine’s Day! Keep spreading the love and cuteness! Xoxo

Supplies

Large Glass (my hobnail glass was $3 at Target)
1 Sheet of Tissue Paper
Assorted String and Twine
One Dangling Wine Glass Charm
1 Bag of Hershey Kisses (I used the Chocolate Truffle Flavor and they are delish!)

Instructions

1)Stick one sheet of tissue paper into the glass, fluffing out the ends and pushing in the center
2)Fill center of tissue with Kisses
3)Cut assorted string to identical lengths and tie into a bow around the glass
4)Clip wine charm to the string, near the bow

Everyone has that one store that seems to pull you in like a tractor beam each time you walk by. “I’ll just take a quick peek,” you tell yourself as you wander inside. But before you know it, your hands are full of things you just have to have. For me, that store is Papersource. I can’t walk by without at least looking in the windows. “Just go inside – I know you want to,” my boyfriend always says with a laugh. The colorful papers and themed displays drag me in and I’m lost in a world of my favorite things. The store may be small but I could easily spend an hour looking through the shelves and shelves of cuteness. Papersource is like the motherland of paper crafts, quirky greeting cards, colorful calendars, and pretty desk supplies. If you’ve never gone, check out their website and you’ll see what I mean.

Below I’ve shared some of my favorite things from their current collection, with links to where you can buy. I hope the cuteness makes you as happy as it does me!

My favorite item below is the desk calendar. I keep it on my desk at work, and it brightens up my whole cubicle and gets compliments from all of my coworkers! The paper from each month can also be used for various crafts, which I love!!

As for you, Papersource, I have one thing to say. Shut up and take my money!! Xoxo
